A new way to be a snob (as if Dallas needs any more)

I only eat the finest chocolate, and by finest, I mean whatever I have in my pantry. (Honestly, It usually consists of chipped M&Ms in off-season colors that I weeded out from my last baking attempt). Nonetheless for more discerning candy consumers, check out Candysnob.com. Apparently chocolate can have as many distinctive flavors as wine. And I enjoy wine tasting. However, it seems to me that it is much more socially acceptable to have a “chocolate tasting” alone on your couch than wine. Yeah, you never see choco-holics on that A&E show Intervention. Oh and I particularly like the section on Healthy-ish Candy for days when I want to cheat on my diet with less guilt!

If you are one of the many supermarket sample sluts (people who like to wait in-line for a toothpicked swedish meatball from a lunch lady with five+ moles and a hairnet at Sam’s and Kroger), have I got a treat for you! Mark May 15 on your calendar.
McDonald’s is planning to give away free samples of Southern Style Chicken Biscuits and Sandwiches and Dunkin Donuts is gifting cups of iced coffee on May 15! McDonalds expects to give away 2 MILLION biscuits and 6 MILLION sandwiches! Dunkin Donuts predicts about 4 MILLION free cups of iced coffee will be given away. So, if your stomach is already rumbling, go on and get ya some on May 15 at a store near you! I’m trying to find out where to get these delightful freebies (they may not be in all locations), but to be honest I have had the McD’s chicken sandwich and it is nowhere near as good as Chic-fil-a. I’d rather pay and get something I know tastes good, especially if the McD’s employees have five+ moles.
PS. I thought we were in a global food crisis. How does millions of free sandwiches and cups of coffee factor in?
