W. the Movie
Maybe I am a bit behind the times on this one, but did you know there’s a movie in development based on the life of dubya? Due out this fall, it looks pretty intriguing but I wonder how they are going to sell it- as a drama (or more likely) as a comedy? Its directed by Oliver Stone with stars Josh Brolin as el presidente, Richard Dreyfuss as Cheney, and Rob Corddry as press secretary Ari Fleischer. With this cast I can’t wait for it, but I think they could have replaced Brolin (no offense Josh Brolin) with a chimpanzee and end up with the same result. I love that I live in a country that is allowed produce a multi-million dollar flick poking fun at its president on the eve of his retirement. In fact, I hope the release date coincides with Obama’s/McCain’s swearing in.
Wonder Where Your Used Electronics Go?

Here’s a pretty interesting (and a bit depressing) slideshow from National Geographic showing the many places your used computer monitors, televisions, and other electronics go once you’re done with them.
Going Out in Style
Well, I’ve got to give Bush his due for spending his last days as the 43rd president in style. Our chest-bumping, arm-flexing, heisman-posing president was pictured striking all these poses at a recent air force academy graduation ceremony. But what about the Iraq war, the cyclone in Myanmar, or our struggling economy? Just let the next guy take care of ‘em. Don’t blame him too much though, he’s just acting like any average Joe on the last days of his job would. No responsibilities = no worries, right? Check out the pictures by the way- they are awesome.
Regrettable Tattoos: Part 2
In case you couldn’t get enough of the badassery on display on yesterdays post of celebrity tattoos, here’s another photo gallery showing more of the tattoos you love to see on somebody else’s unfortunate body. (There are a few repeats from yesterday in the mix, but not only are they better appreciated the second time around, they are worth going through to see some of the new entries.)
Taking Celebrity Obsession to a New Level

Entertainment Weekly has developed a compilation of the best celebrity tattoos ever. I have to congratulate them on the wide range of celebrities and the cringe-worthy awesomeness of the entries. But after being completely impressed by these feats of social bravery, I wish I could’ve seen just one more:
Terrell Owens: The Next Marlon Brando?

Terrell Owens’ recent stint on “Under One Roof” apparently got him excited about his budding acting career. “I can act” he articulated in a recent interview about the role. Perhaps jumping ahead a few steps in his career, I guess he seems himself as quite the thespian, noting that “I don’t really see myself limiting myself just to comedy.” I don’t doubt it, considering the talent i’ve seen from him in this role.
Freedom is still free…but gas is 4 bucks.
May 21, 2008 by bz · 2 Comments
Here’s an interesting article from MSN explaining why $4 a gallon gasoline (even though it blows to drop 50+ bucks at the pump) is a bargain by global standards. I guess America is still pretty bad ass even though we’re a little bit poorer. And for being the richest country in the world, I guess we can stand to be a bit poorer. But if you still can’t stand the $4 gas, you can move under the regime of Hugo Chavez, whose Venezuelan gas is 25 cents a gallon. Just don’t complain about the communism while you’re there.
This patriot thinks 4 dollar gas is unamerican.

If you like Monkeys and Dogs competing in the fires of athletic competition, than this video is for you. However, if you shit your pants while watching because you’re laughing too hard, you’ve been warned. I almost did the first time I saw this:
The Ultimate Battle Between Good and Evil

In what’s the funniest/most bizarre story I’ve heard in awhile, a welsh man “dressed up as Darth Vader, wearing a garbage bag for a cape, and assaulted the founders of a group calling itself the Jedi church”.
Man vs. Wild Cameraman on the Loose?

Take a look at this video of a climber ascending the El Camino del Rey gorge in Spain. The walkway is so dilapidated that you have to step over holes in the concrete and at some points, balance yourself over the steel beams spanning broken segments in the path. Obviously, this guy has some pretty big cajones considering he is climbing this path untethered and while holding a camera. I can only assume this badass must be Bear Grylls’ cameraman on Man Vs. Wild.
