Our Second Favorite Coach

May 13, 2008 by Adam · 2 Comments

Mike Leach's Office

Earlier this year, I wrote a quick profile on our favorite coach here at y2kers, Bob Stoops.  Here is an interesting story about our second favorite coach, Mike Leach.  http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/story?columnist=schlabach_mark&id=3385098

According to that article, this is a picture he had drawn of himself as a replica of Vincent Van Gogh’s self-portrait.  Awesome.

On a lighter note…

While I was doing a google search for Howard Wolfson there, I came across a better picture.  I (heart) google image search because of random pictures that show up.  MNSFW

Great Logic

May 8, 2008 by Adam · 2 Comments

Okay, I don’t mean to do two political posts in one day, but I just saw something on Hardball (insert funny Dqyle joke here) with Chris Matthews that this guy, Howard Wolfson, who is Hillary’s campaign communication’s director said that I just have to comment on.  If you are interested, check it out.

Great idea…

Thanks to fellow y2ker Michelle for the heads up on this one.  The maker of the board game Loaded Questions has an idea.  He wants the presidential candidates to answer questions from his board game.   Lord knows they must be better than the questions Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopolous asked at the last debate in Philadelphia.  Click the break if you want to see the 10 questions and my best guess at how the candidates would answer.

Telling the future?

Great post Josh, I really could have used that video for my second edition of the www.y2kers.com Political Blog.  (My first edition, by the way, was spot on if you want to check it out, like Barack is checking out Hill.) If you want to hear my thoughts on yesterday’s Primaries in Indiana and NC, check back after this short break.

Reflection on American Idol

April 25, 2008 by Adam · Leave a Comment

Paula and Randy loved Carly Smithson&#;s rendition of Here You Come Again, and Dolly, herself, said she killed it!

Don’t know how many of you out there in y2kers world watch Idol, but I sure do.  I was disappointed last night when Carly Smithson was cut.  I thought she was one of the better singers and that either Hippy Aggie Jason Castro should have gone or Brooke “I have forgotten the words twice but am still on the show” White.  Anyway, stumbled across this controversy regarding Carly Smithson, if that is even her real name…

When I did a Google image search for Coach Stoops down there, this picture came up on the first page…

So, I was told by CP to do some editing, so if you want to see the picture click below:

Note to self

April 23, 2008 by Adam · Leave a Comment

When y2kers.com gets to interview Bob Stoops, let’s make sure and do it in the off season.  I just heard him on the radio and he was funny, relaxed, and gave real answers…almost the exact opposite of during the season.  For you Sooner fans out there, you might be able to check out the interview on www.thesportsanimal.com.  They hadn’t put it up as of post time, but they might soon.

My First Post

This being my first post, I thought that I would bring a little sophistication to this website by getting into some politics.
