Obama Clinches Nomination
June 3, 2008 by Adam

Just in time for summer, Barack Obama will be the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States of America. To see what I have to think about this, check back after the break.
In November 2008, an African-American could be elected the next President of the United States. Just yesterday, I was talking to a WWII African-American veteran that served in an all-black unit. That was just 65 short years ago. Real civil rights laws weren’t passed until a mere 45 years ago. This country has come a very long way in this short time period. That is why I am so excited that this ended up happening. I was really worried for the past few months that the Clinton machine would end up stealing this nomination from Senator Obama, somehow, someway. If you can’t tell, I am kind of like Obama-Girl and have a little bit of a crush on Barack. This does not mean, however, that I am ready to endorse him as y2kers.com unofficial political pundit. I really like John McCain. I have since 2000 when he was trying for the Republican nomination. I am going to reserve judgement until I see what happens in the upcoming months before the general election. Regardless of what happens, this is an important moment in the history of this great country.
