Harmless Children’s Toy or Harbinger of Racism?!

Who doesn’t like a sock monkey? Its impossible not to entertain kids and adults alike when holding one of these cuddly creatures…unless the toy you’re holding is a sock Obama monkey! Honestly, i’m not sure how racist it actually is. I can see both sides of the story- one being that its just a harmless toy for kids and the other being that its a tasteless representation of a black person. I tend to agree more with the latter purely because the makers of the monkey didn’t make a McCain monkey as well. Call me an equal-opportunity puppeteer, but I want equality for people - and sock monkeys - of all races! USA! USA! USA!
