The Saddest Thing I Ever Heard
April 29, 2008 by Sam
I was in Walgreens about 15 minutes ago, I went to get in line to check out. First thing I notice is that one line has about 6 people, the other only one. Seeing how these lines were following the “form a single line for each checkout” rule, I naturally went to the line that had one person.
Woman #1 from long line (Sounds about 40-50): There is just one line
Woman #2 from long line: It says one line for each register
Woman #1: I can’t read.
I never looked back, finished my transaction and got out of there as soon as possible. The more someone doesn’t know how to read the higher the chances are that they know how to use a gun.

I don’t get it. I don’t read or spell well as I have desxisea, I know how to use a gun (I have two) and I have a Masters Degree in Psychology (in spite of much discriminationa and open herassment from two colleges).
What makes you believe that “[t]he more someone doesn’t know how to read the higher the chances are that they know how to use a gun” ?
Like Michael, I own multiple guns, and am well educated (I’m currently a law student, with a BS in computer science, and will pursue a masters once I earn my JD)
I was preparing to follow up on my hastily written comment from above, but decided to just put it into a blog post of my own: http://www.learnaboutguns.com/2008/05/01/casual-anti-gun-bias-on-the-internet/
Bloggers are more likely to get killed by disgruntled gun owners than terrorist.
its nice to see people who own guns can write
I do not understand how your conclusion was derived. You made no indication that you had reason to believe that the self-declared illiterate woman had knowledge of the operation of a fiream. Even had you been able to make such a determination, however, I believe that your sample size — of one — is far too small for any meaningful conclusions to be derived.
